Left Behind is a touching tribute to the courageous women who were left behind on the home front during WWII.

This story revisits the unspoken side of war from the perspective of the women of this time, tracing their journey from the very beginning through to the end of the war, brought to life on stage through the power of contemporary dance.

Left Behind reflects on the pride, courage and sacrifice they experienced, and explores their pain and loss as they wait patiently for the return of their loved ones. As time passes and life carries on, the impact of the war continues to be felt by these women as they honour their husband’s bravery while attempting to get on with their lives.

We share their heartache through this difficult time as we witness their strength, courage and determination. They are strong. They are powerful. They are the women of the war. This is their story.
